I was counting Friday as Christmas Eve and Sunday as Christmas day, which is why one should never write things after midnight. By the way, this method works with cookie bars too.Maggie B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07461908999862482902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5637906826934202151.post-46908492309846034622017-01-02T00:19:03.594-08:002017-01-02T00:19:03.594-08:00Always glad to help, Maggie. I think it's because you're baking the layers in a smaller space and the lid is on to hold in the moisture so it doesn't dry out. Also it cooks slower. I'm not a big cake fan, but the one I just recently did turned out moist and delicious.<br />Tom Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16700342512275624543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5637906826934202151.post-60436779903808020622017-01-01T22:38:54.095-08:002017-01-01T22:38:54.095-08:00Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! After chasing all over town the next day hunting a new one we eventually had to take the advice of every clerk we talked to and order it online. I enjoyed going out for Chinese food as Christmas dinner. However, New Years Eve came around and the part still hadn't arrived! I was able to take my now famous fudge mint cake to a New Years party thanks to your recipe! Thank you again! I'm looking forward to trying it with cornbread tomorrow!Maggie B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07461908999862482902noreply@blogger.com
